Build · operate · hand over

Build, operate and hand over a working business in Southeast Asia.

Alia Asia provides the local judgement, relationships and execution capability to move a mandate from approved intent to a stable operation that can be transferred with confidence.

For overseas companies, investors and owners establishing operations in Southeast Asia.

The operating question

Who remains accountable between approval and handover?

A board-approved plan still has to become a location, team, system, supplier network, customer proposition and daily operating rhythm. When those workstreams are separated, the client inherits the gaps.

Alia Asia assembles the local route, leads implementation, runs the model in live conditions and transfers a more stable operation once the people, controls and practical knowledge are in place.

Founder-led delivery

Sandeep Grewal remains close to the mandate.

Alia Asia is led by operators who have built, taken over, restructured and run businesses themselves. Sandeep stays involved in defining the route, assembling the right local expertise and keeping delivery moving across commercial, property, people and operating decisions.

Meet the accountable team

Questions clients ask

Before the mandate begins.

Is build–operate–handover suitable for a first entry into Malaysia?

It can be. The model is useful when an overseas organisation needs local execution and early operating control before transferring responsibility to its own permanent team.

What is included in the handover?

The exact scope depends on the mandate, but it can include the local team, procedures, systems, supplier and partner relationships, reporting routines and operating knowledge built during implementation.

Can Alia Asia take over after another adviser has completed the strategy?

Yes. Alia Asia can enter after a market study or board approval, or later when implementation has stalled and the practical route needs to be rebuilt.

Does every engagement have to end in handover?

No. Depending on the objective, the next stage may be continued operation, scale, transaction support, a management transition or an exit.
